Rotary Club of Windsor donates tools to BUILD Academy

BUILD instructor Jessica Borland accepted 30 buckets full of small tools last week when the Rotary Club of Windsor delivered 30 buckets filled with small tools for BUILD Academy students. Tools were provided by Rotary with matching funds provided in part by a grant from Rotary District 5130. Tools will be distributed to BUILD students who are, of course, currently learning from home.

The Rotary Club of Windsor purchased 30 sets of these tools. Students will be instructed on the proper use of each tool and be able to apply what they learn in various construction projects.
Rotarians also provided the lumber for the students’ first project: a tool caddy. Since the students will be starting with simple projects, the wood was pre-cut and packaged for them by Rotarian Wally Krutz.
Buckets donated by Home Depot will be used to distribute tool sets to each student. Students can then store tools in the buckets!
