Groundbreaking Ceremony

It was October 10, 2020 when they met to start work for BUILD Academy. It started with four gentlemen with shovels, digging where the new Storage Container for BUILD tools and equipment would sit. This is a great spot, ideally located right outside the BUILD classroom, so it will be convenient for students.

Doing the heavy lifting that day were Bill Bolster (President, Rotary Club of Windsor), Dominic Foppoli (Mayor, Town of Windsor), Dr. Lamar Collins (Principal, Windsor High School), and Rich Carnation (Windsor Unified School District Trustee).

The new 20′ x 10′ storage container was donated to the school by the Rotary Club of Windsor. The work of digging out the hole and preparing the space was done by the wonderful maintenance personnel of WUSD. Gravel for the underlying foundation was graciously donated by Bodean Company.

Others present were WHS Assistant Principal Grace Curtin-Fiano and BUILD team member Marie Ganister, Windsor Rotarians Carol Martin and Pam Moulton and Windsor Times Editor Heather Bailey,
